Koodalmanikam Temple

Unnayi Warrier Smaraka Kalanilayam popularly known as Kalanilayam
is situated far from the madding crowd. It is in Irinjalakuda, an
ancient town sedately set in the scenic backdrop of the landscape
of Kerala accessible by road- 24 kms south to Thissur, 16 kms north
of Kodungallur, 14 kms south Chalakudi (approximately half an
hour journey by road). He who comes by train should alight at Irinjalakuda
Railway Station and proceed 9 kms westwards. Nearest Air Station is
Cochin International Airport at Nedumbasery, 38 kms south.
Kalanilyam is situated adjacent to the famous Koodalmanikiam Temple.
Formerly it was started in one of the temple buildings and fostered
by the temple authorities. It serves as a befitting memorial to the
famous Malayalam poet and it is believed to be the venue of his great
composition.
